Robert Pattinson in Scottish Daily Record

Robert Pattinson: Braveheart is my favourite film.. I’ve been watching it four times a day
Feb 8 2010 By Rick Fulton
PURSUED by screaming fans wherever he goes, Twilight star Robert Pattinson admits he gets his freedom watching Braveheart.
Thee 23-year-old hearthrob, nicknamed RPattz, says although he hasn’t been able to get to a cinema for two years, he can’t get enough of the Mel Gibson Oscar-winning film about Scotland’s greatest patriot William Wallace.
He admitted: “I saw Braveheart on the television the other day and I’ve been watching it four times a day since. It’s my favourite film. I haven’t been to the cinema in two years.”
Since he started playing smouldering vampire Edward Cullen two years ago, the London actor has become one of the world’s biggest and most lusted after stars.
Last year, while filming new movie Remember Me, he was hit by a taxi while running away from fans and he’s a pin-up from America to Japan.
Girls – even grannies – ask him to bite them and in November last year a 2000-strong crowd of girls turned out to see him at a fan party in London.
Added to that is the are they-aren’t they relationship between him and Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.
Robert’s sudden fame has sometimes made him moan. Last year, he told the Record he couldn’t stay in the same place for more than 20 minutes without gaggles of girls surrounding him.
He now reveals that he has started to apologise to people he meets for his over-exposure.
He started out as a model and fell into acting in 2004. Just a year later he was cast as Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter And the Goblet Of Fire.
Robert said: “A lot of people value fame very highly, much more highly than they should and they get angry when they see people either not respecting their own fame enough or thinking that they’ve got famous undeservedly. I took a step in one direction and it kind of just happened, so I can’t really claim anything.
“But I find myself at parties having to apologise for a lot of things, just for being myself. It’s kind of weird – you can never just walk into a place and just reinvent yourself, you’ve always got to explain yourself first, which is tiring.”
Being the main star of Twilight has seen RPattz become a multi-millionaire. His earnings last year were reportedly £11.25million thanks to the second film in the Twilight Saga films: New Moon, which will be released on DVD on March 22.
It starts another busy year for the actor, whose next film Remember Me with Pierce Brosnan is out in April, and the third film in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse will hit the cinema screens on July 9.
Robert is chatting in a London hotel room and he doesn’t look like his famous vampire character because he has grown a beard for new film Bel Ami. He admits for the first time in two years he’s been able to walk around his home city largely undetected.
“I would like to do an audition with no one knowing who I am and see what would happen though,” he laughed.
What’s it like being back in London? Given he’s been jetting around the world for premieres, is it different now?
“It’s really different,” he admitted. “I’ve been here for such a little time in the last three years. I used to live in Soho and when I came back this time everything was closed. It’s weird. Everywhere I used to go to, everything was closed.”

Hometown Valentine Wishes For Taylor Lautner
Posted By Tai
This is an article on Mlife about Taylor Lautner’s Hometown of Grandrapids, MI and their Valentines gift to their hometown hero!
Press contest draws hundreds of Valentine’s Day cards for Taylor Lautner

Press readers submitted letters for Taylor Lautner, who turns 18 on Thursday.
When I mentioned Taylor Lautner and Valentine’s Day in the same sentence, and saw the faces of several sixth-grade girls from Holy Name of Jesus school instantly light up, I knew we had a good idea.
I told the girls, who were on a recent tour of The Press’ printing and packaging center at our Walker facility, about our contest to send the Grand Rapids-born actor cards for Valentine’s Day. Many of the girls were buzzing with excitement, ready to go home and start making their Valentines for the hunky “Twilight” star.
Lautner, who turns 18 on Thursday, lived in Hudsonville until he was 11. Since moving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, his star has continued to rise. Besides reprising his role as Jacob in the “Twilight” sequel “New Moon,” Lautner has presented at the Golden Globes, hosted “Saturday Night Live” and landed movie roles in “Max Steel” (as a superhero) and in “Northern Lights.” For the latter role, Lautner reportedly will earn $7.5 million, making him the highest-paid teen actor in Hollywood.
We thought it would be fun to collect West Michigan Valentine’s Day wishes and send them to Lautner in Los Angeles. (We’re also randomly selecting some entries to win passes to see “Valentine’s Day,” his latest movie, which opens Friday. He makes a cameo appearance in the ensemble comedy with his former rumored girlfriend, Taylor Swift — heard of her?)
In a matter of a couple of weeks, The Press received hundreds of pieces of mail: letters, poems, cards and gifts, all of them very sweet.
None were cuter than a batch of four cards we received from Grand Rapids’ Amaya sisters: Amber, 11; Shelby, 10; Quinn, 5; and Addison, 3.
“Of course, the younger ones are into whatever the older ones are into, so they all had to make cards,” said Mom, Cynthia Amaya.
At the Amaya house, the squeal factor hits its highest with sixth-grader Amber.
“(She) is obsessed with the ‘Twilight’ series and can’t wait for the next movie (‘Eclipse’) to come out in June,” Amaya said. “She’s already planning her birthday around the release of the movie. Christmas presents were all about ‘Twilight’ — shirts, bracelets, you name it.”
Artistically speaking, Amber’s card was made in the shape of a heart and featured “Be Mine” in little heart drawings. Younger sisters Quinn and Addison drew pictures of themselves with Lautner (although — shhhh, don’t tell anybody — Addison is more of an Edward fan).
Fifth-grader Shelby was a little more subdued, saying, “What’s up!” on her card, then proclaiming: “I Hope You Have the Best Valentine’s Day Ever!”
By all observations, Lautner is having the time of his young life, basking in the success of his star-making role in the “Twilight” movies. This weekend, he was expected to compete in the Celebrity Beach Bowl and then attend the Super Bowl in Miami on Sunday night. To celebrate his birthday Thursday, he reportedly treated himself to a $150,000 Audi-R8 sports car, which he is learning to drive.
And then there’s Valentine’s Day.
In the mail at his Los Angeles office, Lautner will receive our bundle of Valentines and gifts. Many are from West Michigan fans, but some are from all over the United States, such as Texas, New Jersey, Florida and Washington. And some are from places far from West Michigan, including Peru, France, United Kingdom, Puerto Rico, Spain, Australia, Canada, Germany, Korea and Sweden.
One fan, 22-year-old Katie Hile, of Grand Rapids, wanted to remind Lautner of his Michigan roots.
“The mitten is smitten with you! Happy Valentine’s Day Taylor! And happy birthday, too!!” she wrote.
“He’s cute,” Hile told me last week. “It’s cool that he is from the Grand Rapids area — hometown pride.”
Hile also is impressed with Lautner’s acting, saying his interpretation of werewolf Jacob Black in the “Twilight” series is close to the book by Stephanie Meyer. “He plays the character very well,” she said
Is that what she would tell him if they ever got a chance to meet? “I’d probably freeze up,” she said.
Twelve-year-old Marlowe Teichman, of Alto, on the other hand, would not be so shy.
“That would be awesome,” she said. “ I would say, ‘I’m your No. 1 fan.’”
Marlowe’s card is a heart-shaped collage of Lautner photos. On the back, she writes: “I absolutely adore you! I think you are such a hot, cute werewolf! One day, I wish to meet you. Have a happy Valentine’s Day. P.S. Call me!”

Peter Facinelli Brings the House Down in Temeluca
Posted By Tai
By all accounts Peter Facinelli was a smash hit where upwards of 1,000 people turned out to get an autograph and photo (with part of the proceeds going to charity).
According to theSouthwest Riverside News:
“Thousands of Southwest Riverside Twi-hards braved sheets of rain and crowded into the plaza for a glimpse of Facinelli. All waited patiently in lines that stretched in a seemingly endless queue throughout the mall.
The event was part of an effort to raise funds for UNICEF with a portion of the proceeds going towards helping the Haiti earthquake victims. At $25 for autographs and $40 for a photo, it is expected that a considerable sum will be raised to benefit the Haiti relief efforts.”
According to the Press Enterprise (they also have video coverage if you click the link):
“A queue of more than 2,000 people stretched from the platform, where Facinelli awaited flushed-faced teens, past several storefronts.
Some people waited for upwards of five hours with “Twilight” books, posters and T-shirts in hand for a chance to get their keepsakes signed, as well as a chance to hug, shake hands — and get a kiss on the cheek from Facinelli.
“I’m never washing my face again,” a hyperventilating Lynzie Maloney shrieked as she bounded from the mall with her best friend Rachel Barraza, who was also close to tears.
“This is the best day of my life,” screamed Rachel, whose hands were shaking with excitement.”
And what did Peter have to say about all of this?
He turned his IPhone around to film the crowd and Tweeted it! Then he told the press, “You never get used to it, I’m surprised every time I show up,” he said. “It makes you feel that you have done something right, and it’s great to see so many people come out and support a great cause.
“The crowd here has been awesome.”

Taylor Lautner’s Superbowl Weekend
Posted By Tai
Taylor Lautner is having one action packed weekend. First he was in Direct TV’s Celebrity Beach Bowl with Twilight co-star Kellan Lutz and countless other celebrities. Then he’s hanging around to see the Superbowl because the Colts are in the game. Being a Michigan native, Taylor is rooting for the Colts, and of all people he seems to have bonded with Rob Lowe over the Colts love!
According to E! Rob Lowe stated:
“Taylor’s another Colts fan and he’s such a great guy,” Rob said when I caught up with him at the Audi penthouse party at the W. “He and I are here for the Super Bowl as well, and I brought my boys with me, so we just have a boys club, who’s been traveling around on this amazing Colts run.”
But Rob says he left his wife home, who’s a huge Twi-hard…
“My wife is the Twilight freak in the house and she loves it,” he said. “She’s really funny. I keep giving her reports on where we’re going, what we’re doing.”

ESPN Caught up with Kellan Lutz at the celebrity Beach Bowl game to talk about Kellan’s football past.

“I love football,” he told Page 2. “I miss my high school days where I played. I was going to college for (football) and then acting came up so I had to put school on hold and now I’m on this acting adventure.”
Despite his love for the game, he’ll be the first to admit he made the right choice when it comes to career success.
“I don’t think I’m tall enough, big enough or strong enough to be in the Super Bowl,” he said. “I just miss playing football and getting hit and hitting people.”

Taylor Lautner: The New “Stretch Armstrong”
Posted by Wolfie
For those of us Taylor-fans, we ‘re all very much looking forward to every single project he has lined up, and dare I ask how many of us will be lining up to watch “Valentine’s Day” just to watch Taylor play an adorable Track and Field athlete often distracted by his on-screen girlfriend, Taylor Swift? Well, there is another project on the horizon!
“Yes, it’s true. Taylor Lautner is now no longer just a hulking werewolf. He will soon embody Hasbro’s popular ’80s toy in Universal’s adaptation of Stretch Armstrong. The movie, to be produced by Brian Grazer, will be released in 2012 in 3-D. The studio has yet to hire a director for the movie, but Steve Oedekerk (Bruce Almighty) has written the script. Universal made the announcement late Friday night along with the news that they will push back their other big Hasbro property Battleship, from director Peter Berg, from its original July 2011 release to Memorial Day weekend 2012 to give the filmmaker more time to finish the large-scale project.”
